In 2007 Historical Promotions and Event Management organised a Medieval Fayre and Grand Medieval Joust for Coleshill Town Council to celebrate the towns 800th Charter Anniversary. The event was designed to include the whole community with a focus on education and raising the town’s profile within the region.

The Medieval Fayre comprised various craft demonstrations, displays, dancing, falconry, music, foot tournaments, living history encampments, period displays and a Grand Medieval Joust. The event was completely free to the public and over 5,000 visitors; nearly all the town’s residents attended the event, with some people travelling over 100 miles to be part of the celebrations. The event proved to be a great success bringing pride and enjoyment to children and the local community.

The event for Coleshill Town Council was voted a Finalist at the Event Awards 2008:

Clients Comment:

"The Mayor and Coleshill Town Council have asked me to write to thank you for your massive contribution to the success of our celebrations.... We have received many compliments about the day from the residents of Coleshill and without your organisational skills, an event of this magnitude would not have been possible to stage... We would like to thank you for making the pre-event planning so pleasurable and (surprisingly) stress-free. In particular, your professional input, advice and approach were very much appreciated. We would not hesitate to recommend the services of Historical Promotions to any organisation seeking to undertake such an event in the future and should you wish to use our event as a reference for potential future clients, please feel free to do so."
